The Transition to Work programme prepares individuals for employment through computer training, work experience and TAFE courses.

The Transition to Work approach taken by the Australia Foundation for Disability will:

• Identify each individual’s barriers to employment and develop goals and stratagies.

• Provide training, guidance and support to help overcome these barriers.

• Enable participants to experience a range of carreer opportunities through work placements.

• Develop and improve an individual’s employability by delivering recognised training.

• Link connects with Business or Open Employment Services to ensure that people who need continued support are connected with appropriate services.

Transition to Work is accessed through AFFORD LINK.  LINK directs school leavers, and other people with a disability in the community towards opportunities where they can continue to develop when school is over.
